Day050

Thursday April 14th- Shayna's birthday!

After my recent bad day streak, I woke up convinced that today was going to be better than that. Didn't quite start out that way...

Had my doctor's appointment at 10 and pretty much had a breakdown after stepping on the scale. Seriously. It takes 15-20 minutes to get home from my doctor and I bawled the whole way because I was so disappointed in myself and utterly discouraged. I feel like I've been working really hard to eat better and go to the gym and what do I get? Gained a pound. Now, I do realize that 1 pound is not catastrophic, but when I've been trying so hard to LOSE weight and it's going in the opposite direction it makes me feel like it's not worth it. But I tried to put that behind me so I could enjoy the rest of my day.

The Banfield hospitals in our region or district or whatever won some sort of contest and Banfield paid for each hospital to shut down their hospital for 2 hours one day and go to lunch at a restaurant of our choosing. Our hospital apparently picked Olive Garden so that's where we had lunch today. It was fun... I mean, who doesn't love free food for doing a good job at work? Haha

Then Shayna and I met up with Christian, her boyfriend, and her sister Katie at Cheeseburger in Paradise to have a few pre-dinner drinks. Ended up sitting at the bar for about 2-2.5 hours. No big deal. Went back to Shayna and Christian's to get ready for her birthday dinner... also at Cheeseburger. Haha Got back to Cheeseburger around 5:45 and had a few more drinks, a bit of dinner, and then more drinks. And thennnn...

Day050: Woops

Shayna got a bit animated telling a story and knocked her beer into her lap and then onto the floor. Needless to say, it shattered. And she looked like the peed herself (see fb photos). Good thing she was already pretty intoxicated by this point because she just kept on rolling and even sang karaoke with beer soaked pants. What a trooper. Haha It was definitely a successful birthday celebration to say the least :)

Day049

Wednesday April 13th

So today was not really much better than yesterday in terms of work. But I got to leave at 12:30, so I'm trying to put that behind me.

Came home, had lunch, relaxed for about an hour until I went to the gym. Tried running on the treadmill and kept getting shooting pains up my right side so I opted for speed walking on an incline. Much less painful. Did some resistance training and will probably be very sore again. Haha Oh well. Came home to shower but took this beforehand:

Day049: Warped

I originally went out back to photograph the obnoxious amount of pollen that has collected on the back deck but those pictures didn't turn out as interesting as I had hoped. So I opted for photographing down by the creek... where even more obnoxious amounts of pollen and algae are collecting. Gross. Started looking for other things to photograph and thought it was funny how much the tree bent as I got closer and used the fish eye lens. I have another one that was in contest with this one to be my photo for the day- a close up of that circular knot looking thing on the warped tree. It somehow looks like a peace sign up close.... Ryan and I are wondering if someone actually did carve a peace sign in it at one point and this is how it looks now. Who knows...

After my brief photo shoot with the backyard, I showered and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings. Ended up pretty much having a double date with Katie and John. Haha Then went to Young Adult Group at church. Now we are home and hanging out until we decide it's time for bed. :)

Day048

Tuesday April 12th

Today was not a good day. And was sandwiched between 2 days that were also not good. Which were in a string of 6 straight days of stress.

So today does not deserve its own photo. Instead, it gets a recycled one from the original Project 365.

Day048: ...

The difference between the usages of this photo is quite amusing as well. In the original project, this was the first day I completely forgot to take a picture and I felt horrible. This time around, it was entirely intentional. I figure this is my project and if I don't feel like taking a picture because I have no desire to recall anything that happened during this day, it's my prerogative to do so.

Day047

Monday April 11th

Yay- I'm caught up again! Haha

Day 4 of 6- almost done with another long streak. Worked 6:45-12:30... weirdest day ever. Very sad day too. But very very weird.

Left work and went to my parents house to pick up my cell phone which I had left the night before. Not real sure how I survived more than 12 hours without it, but I did. Talked to mom for a few. Closed my bank account at Bank of America. Got jipped there. Drove through at Wendy's. Feel like I got jipped there too because my nuggets were not up to par in my book.

Repainted my nails. Watched TV. Relaxed/rested until Ryan came home. Dinner with the family and Lynn. Played cornhole with Ryan for a bit. Went for a bike ride while Ryan jogged. Came home and didn't feel like being creative so this is what you get:

Day047: Mesh

Ryan pretty much lives in mesh gym shorts despite many attempts to rid him of this habit. Haha Kidding... sort of. But anyway... I really didn't have anything else interesting to photograph, but I always enjoy using my macro lens because I love how crisp the tiniest details are. Other than that, I have no reason for photographing Ryan's shorts besides convenience. :)

Day046

Sunday April 10th

Worked all day. Are you seeing a trend here? We close at 5 on Sundays but I didn't get to leave until about 5:45 or later... which is unusual. It was an unusual day.

But I got to enjoy the rest of it. Went to my parents house for dinner and to hang out a bit. Ryan jumped on the trampoline with the girls while I talked to mom as she was making dinner. He jumped on the trampoline after dinner as well... not sure how he didn't vom all over the place. Haha We played dominos for a bit, watched a couple of funny youtube videos (see my facebook wall for my most recent favorite), then headed home around 9.

Took this once we got home:

Day046: Guitar Strings To The Strum

Since Ryan is working for his dad again, he works Mon-Fri. I do not. Therefore, he has a lot of free time on the weekends. Today, Steven came over and they played guitars and learned songs. So after we got home from my parents, Ryan wanted to show me what he had learned. He played, I photographed. I have a really funny one with Lucy in the background that I will upload to facebook, but I liked the composition of this one better. :)

Day045

Saturday April 9th

Worked all day. Left work around 5 or so. Stomach was messed up alllll day... gurgling and disgusting. Came home to Ryan watching Man On Fire, so I plopped down on the couch with him and watched too. Made stuffed shells for dinner but realized that salads would be delicious, so Ryan went to Farm Fresh and picked up salads. Also came home with Unstoppable, so we watched that after dinner. It was really really good... stressful, but good. I told Ryan I would probably fall asleep during it because I was so tired and not feeling great... I did not even come close to sleeping. Pretty sure I was more alert watching the movie than I was all day. Haha But here's my photo:

Day045: Saturday Night Combo

So basically I took this because I realized I hadn't taken a photo yet and these things were laying side by side. I figured it was a good representation of my day- the best part of today was watching Unstoppable with my husband and enjoying a couple of thin mints. :) That's really all the explanation this photo needs... oh, but thin mints don't really help upset tummies so I don't recommend them as treatment. Ha

Day044

Friday April 8th

Ok... so I've been very delinquent on uploading photos and posts. My bad.

Friday=day 1 of 6 straight days at work. Worked 6:45-1:30. Honestly... I can't even remember what happened this day, either at work or after. Pretty sure Ryan and I went to the batting cages again. Then had softball practice at 7. Somewhere along the way, I took this:

Day044: 'Zilla

I feel SO bad for her. That large ball under her armpit is not supposed to be there. It's gigantic. I don't even remember when it first starting showing up, but it's been quite awhile and it just keeps getting bigger. I feel awful but she's still eating and will actually run around the tank to chase crickets, so it can't be bugging her too much. But it still looks terrible. And uncomfortable.

Anyone have any useful information about what it could be? I'm all ears...

Day043

Thursday April 7th

Another day off work before my 6 days straight :)

Got up early to go get blood drawn for my appointment next week. Then, I figured since I'm already up, might as well do some errands and shopping now. Went in search for a good sports bra... and amazingly, I was successful. Thank yoooou, Kohl's. I really don't see how Kohl's prices are all that great and worth raving about, but they have an excellent selection of bras. Really wish I'd found one at Ross where they had a $7 sports bra... but of course not. That would be too easy. Oh well.. I'm just glad I was successful. Haha

Surprised Ryan at work with a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie. Went to Dick's and got some nice, cushioned bat tape for one of our bats that makes your hands tingle if you don't hit the hall just right. Painful. Then went to wal mart and got zebra print nail stick on things. Love them! Came home and watched TV for about 10 minutes when Ryan called and said he was leaving work early and would be home soon. He came home and put the new tape on our bat and we hit the batting cages again. Soooo sore from yesterday. Haha

Came home from the batting cages and went into full blown spring cleaning mode. Emptied out my entire closet (Ryan did his too) and we ended up with 3 full trash bags of clothes, shoes, etc to donate to the Salvation Army or the like; a full laundry basket of stuff to go in the attic; 2 bags of trash; and looooads of extra room in the bottom of my closet that I never knew was there! Haha OH and I also found BOTH my Rainbows! AMAZING! We also went to Target and bought Ryan a new rubbermaid drawer thing for his closet and I got his old one, since I desperately needed more storage. Here is the result:

Day043: After

I realized I don't have a 'before' picture, but take my word for it: this is a HUGE improvement. I don't think I've ever had a closet look this organized. I mean, I have hooks on the insides of the doors for purses for goodness sake! Haha But I am very proud of our work today. Our closets look much better and it makes me feel better about that space... I feel like I've finally moved into my closet. Most of the stuff in the bottom of my closet before was just stuff that didn't have a place when I moved in and its place ended up in piles on the floor of my closet. Not cute.

After our cleaning escapade, we ventured on for further self improvement and hit the gym. I got to test out my new sports bra.. and let me tell you, it is wonderful. Had a nice workout and then had an amazing salad for dinner... seriously, it was the best salad I've ever made (not that I've ever EATEN, mind you, but that I myself have made... with Ryan's grilling expertise). Now we're just relaxing and watching Liar Liar, a hilarious movie. I'm sure at least I will be going to bed soon... have to be up at 5:30am tomorrow, yayyyy...

Day042

Wednesday April 6th

Ahhh- a day off of work :) Relaxed a bit; hit the batting cages with hubby about midday; ran a couple errands; relaxed at home until Ryan got off work; quick dinner (hotdogs, mmmm); Young Adult Group at 7; came home and passed out... just after taking this slightly eerie photo:

Day042: Light Bright

After I dragged my butt to bed, I realized that I hadn't taken any photos today (hence my late blog). So I grabbed Ryan's little Sony camera and got this on the first try. I love the illumination from the light and the shadows from the curtain rod... and for some reason, I love the grainy quality from Ryan's not so high quality camera. :-P It makes it look so eerie and I love it.

Day041

Tuesday April 5th

Today was my first 6:45am work day since Jamaica. Ugghhh... 5:30 came wayyyy too early. But I powered through somehow. Haha

Drove to work in an INSANE storm. Seriously expected to get picked up by a tornado and launched into next week. It was nuts. The craziest part was that when I left the house, it was just windy. No rain, no flying cows, just wind. I drove maybe 5-7 miles and the sky opened up. Thank goodness we bought new windshield wipers for my car and Ryan put them on for me the other day!

Work was fairly slow- physically anyway; in the sense that not many people physically came in to Banfield. The phones, however, did. not. stop. So annoying.

Got off work around 1 and got Chickfila for Ryan and me (I'm a bad influence... he gave up fastfood for Lent and I offered Chickfila. Poor thing didn't stand a chance). Brought it to him at work and hung out there for an hour or so. Came home and did my favorite/most dangerous recent addiction: looked online at houses/townhouses for sale. Some day... *sigh*

Anyway... met Ryan at the gym around 4:45. Did a somewhat abbreviated workout so I had enough time to come home and shower before a meeting tonight. When we pulled back up in front of the house, I saw these... and they always make me smile:

Day041: Spring Is Coming

Every year when these little guys start popping up all over it lets me know that there is hope and warmer weather is on its way. I especially needed to see them recently after coming back from paradise to constant nasty weather. So sad. But back to the daffodils... these are the little mini ones, which I possibly love even more than the fullsized ones. I mean, they're just so stinkin' cute. And they just scream 'spring.' I love it. (this is where my smartass husband would chime in with something about how creepy it would be if flowers actually screamed... but that's neither here nor there)

Went to our meeting at 7. Came home and had a late dinner... which was delicious. Now I'm writing my blog for probably no one to read and Ryan is playing Call of Duty (shocker, I know). But life goes on...

Day040

Monday April 4th

So I went to bed last night with the intention of getting up and going to the gym before work today. Yeah... didn't quite happen like that. I really wish I knew why I'm always so stinking exhausted... my thyroid medication is supposed to have the opposite effect but so far I'm not feelin' it.

So I got up and showered... then facebook stalked for way longer than I should have. Woops. Lost track of time and ended up having to eat my ramen in about 7 minutes. Rushed out to my car, only to remember that my gas light came on on Saturday. Crap. Work is about 15 miles from my house... probably could have made it, but I literally would have been working on fumes. Not ok in my book. So I called work and told them I was running late. Ended up only being 5 minutes late... no biggie.

Work was ri-dic-u-lous. It's getting close to summer, which is when we work in a constant state of chaos. We had an emergency that practically put us at a standstill in the middle of an already busy day. Nuts. And then, as soon as I think we've got a handle on things, people go and get stupid. Didn't get home until after 8pm (work closes at 7pm...). Finally had dinner with Ryan around 8:30 or so... now I'm posting this before I pass out.

Here's my photo and little bit of humor for the day:

Day040: Working Mother?

So maybe this magazine company knows something I don't. It's called "Working Mother" and is addressed to me. Yes, me... the one with no children (that I know of...?). I dunno guys. A little bit strange if you ask me. I know some companies give your name and address to certain places but this magazine is kind of audience-specific. Kind of ironic that I had a hectic morning and the main story is about making mornings easier... except I'm pretty sure the article doesn't mention anything about cutting back on facebook stalking to make it easier. Haha

Anywho... that's all I've got. As a side note, I really have no idea who is reading this, if anyone. So, uh, leave me a note or something so I know someone out there is actually getting something from this? Ha

Day039

Sunday April 3rd-

Discovered my new favorite breakfast (after Jamaican omelets of course): a bagel thin, one side with nutella and the other with creamy peanut butter. Best creation ever.

Went to church with Ryan. Had lunch back at the house. Threw our bikes on the back of Ryan's car and went to my parents' house. Hung out there until everyone was ready to go and headed out to First Landing State Park for a bike ride. Went 3 miles on the bike trail and then came back, making our entire bike ride 6 miles. Not too shabby, I must say. Snapped pictures with Ryan's little camera along the way, which is how I got today's photo:

Day039: Pink

I had mainly been takings pictures of everyone riding their bikes in front of me (aka their backs) and got kind of bored with that. The scenery didn't really lend itself to drive by photography so I stuck the camera out, pointed down, clicked the button, and voila! Day 39's photo. I'm very anal retentive so symmetrical things make me happy. I love that the bike and handles split the photo up and my pink shoe and the orange Gatorade cap produce asymmetry. Yes, I'm a mega nerd, but what else is new.

Came home and relaxed for a bit. Ok- I relaxed. Mom made dinner while I told her stories from work, etc. and dad and Ryan jumped on the trampoline with the girls. (see fb for the photos from that event haha) Enjoyed a wonderful spaghetti dinner with the family and then did one of my all time favorite things: watched home movies.

Who doesn't love a good home movie? Apparently Amanda. Maybe it was because we were watching "embarrassing" movies of her, but seriously? She was like the cutest baby ever. We watched some from shortly after we brought Amanda home and then some from when we were in China getting Ally. Oh and we also happened across a few of me going to Ring Dance and Ryan's prom. Blast from the past. It was so much fun.

Came home and finally sat down to upload Jamaica pictures. Only uploaded about 1/3 of the ones I took... took me forever to weed through the ones I actually wanted to post. Still currently working on the ones from Ryan's camera and then I want to upload the ones I took today... because they're hilarious. :)

That's all I've got for today, so good night :) And thanks for reading, whoever you are.

Day038

Ahh... and finally we are caught up. Day 38- TODAY April 2nd. (ironically, it's 11pm... very close to no longer being April 2nd and turning into April 3rd)

Today I worked 7:45am-5ish. All I have to say is: Holy Saturday. It must be getting close to summer because today was obnoxious. Incredibly busy ALL morning long. Insane. We had walk-ins, all the appointments were showing up, an emergency before 10am, people who believe rules don't apply to them... everything! But we got through it. Somehow, we made it. Haha

After lunch, amazingly, everything kind of smoothed over. We tend to be 'bottom heavy' meaning that we are steady and manageable in the morning and slammed in the afternoon. Today was the exact opposite. Go figure. I am grateful for this in a way though... I was home by 5:30 and got to have dinner (prepared by my wonderful husband) at a normal time. We even got to go to a movie! Whaaaat?! I know! But before we left, I found this in my bathroom:

Day038: Nom Nom Nom

This cat is beyond special. Seriously. She is sitting in the sink with the water running... trying to drink it out of the running faucet. But she keeps wanting to switch sides that she's drinking from. So instead of backing up and going around the stream of water, what does she do? You guessed it- she goes under it, which naturally gets her head and neck completely soaked. So the obvious reaction is to shake her head as fast as she can and fling water all over the entire bathroom. Like I said: special. But anyway... she absolutely loves water... in any form really. Faucet water, bowl water, bathtub water, toilet water. She loves it all. Water=playground for Sadie... who is teaching these bad habits to my impressionable little 2 1/2 year old Lucy. Oh well...

So that's all I have for you. I am FINALLY caught up on these blogs! Horray! Maybe I will finally be able to post the rest of my pictures from Jamaica.... just not tonight. :)

Day037

Day 37 was Friday, April 1st- April Fool's Day.

Worked 8:45-5ish. Another moderately slow day at work. Picked up a little towards the end, but overall not a bad day. Got off work early enough to have a little dinner with Ryan and go to the Young Adult Group's April Fool's Party. People got really clever with the treats they made: sushi made with rice crispy treats and swedish fish (so cute), pigeon poop (cheerios, marshmellows and pretzel sticks), a PBJ with banana... but on a hot dog bun with strawberry jelly drizzled to look like ketchup (cute AND delicious), meatloaf cupcakes (real meatloaf in a cupcake shape with mashed potatoes for icing)... Ryan and I had no time to be creative and brought chips and salsa. Sorry kids.

But we had a lot of fun. I played Apples to Apples for awhile and Ryan played pool. It seemed a good time was had by all. Got home around 10 or so, completely ready to pass out. Snapped this just before heading to bed:

Day037: Laundry

See? I told you there was laundry being done... mainly by Ryan. :) He had folded and stacked these towels so nicely that I decided to take a picture. And I thought the colors looked pretty together. Haha. I really don't have anything terribly witty to say about these towels... just thought they looked cool.

I also know that I am in the home stretch here and am very ready to go to bed...

Day036

Day 36 was Thursday, March 31st- almost caught up. :)

Worked 12:30-7:30 today. Very grateful my boss decided to not only start me with a short day, but she didn't make me come in at 6:45am. Haha! Very much appreciated. Also grateful it was a fairly slow day at work. After being in paradise for 5 days, it's a tad difficult to come back to an overwhelming day at work. Actually... looking back, I really would have been okay with an earlier shift. I wouldn't have had to miss my baby sister Amanda getting her award for the art show she was in. She's only 9 and she's an incredible little artist. Her artwork won 3rd place among the entire K-5 group for all of VBCPS. I am beyond proud of this little girl.

I was very sad I couldn't be at the award portion (which took place at 6:30pm just down the street from where I work), but I flew over there as soon as I left work. Ended up getting there just after 7 and was able to get this:

Day036: My Little Artist

I hate the flash in this picture... and I have a couple others that I tried taking it without it... but her smile in this one won me over. She looks so friggin happy in this picture- it's probably the best picture I've ever taken of her. Her piece is the one hanging above and to her right... top left of the photo. The one with the little yellow ribbon on it ;-) So glad I got to see her piece with her there. She got to tell me about it and show me the other ones from kids in her class that made it into the show as well. She's an amazing little kid. :)

Day035

Day 35 was Wednesday, March 30th- my recuperation day.

Slept in late. Had fruitloops for breakfast. Yes, we went from gourment omelets and fruit to fruitloops. So sad. Went with Ryan to turn in his VBFD application. Still keeping fingers crossed. Picked up lunch at Wendy's and Subway. Subway for Ryan because he gave up fast food for Lent. Wendy's for because I had been craving it since we saw one in Jamaica. Haha Also got a sub for momma and went to my parents' house to get the girls off the bus- the first time we had seen them in a week! It was good to see them again :) Felt like forever.

Had dinner with the family. Played Mario Party with the girls for a bit. Went home to finally unpack (which we had intended to spend the day doing... that and laundry, which are currently still doing on April 2nd).

Oh, but before the unpacking, this is what we came home to:

Day035: Cardboard War-zone

This would be the 3-3 1/2 foot tall box that Lucy decided was hers to destroy. The hole in the side of it is a good 4-5 inches across. She chewed that entire hole... and left the remnants scattered about on the floor, as seen in today's photo. Also seen in today's photo, Lucy hiding in the shadows behind her box. Silly cat, those boxes were meant for luggage. Well, that's what came in that box any way. The box was intended for the recycling, we just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

That pretty much sums up day 35... on to day 36.

Day034

Day 34 was Tuesday, March 29th- the day we came back home. To the nasty, rainy weather. Boo.

Got to have one last breakfast... I think it was the best omelette yet. Didn't have any problems at the airport this time, thank God. Got there way early though... I just played on my laptop and looked through all my pictures from the trip.

Got into Atlanta around 4pm. 2 hour layover. Arrived in Newport News a little after 8pm. And I know you were all concerned about whether or not my fabulous little Jamaican giraffe was going to get home safely. Have no fear- I bubble wrapped the hell out of him and he now lives on our headboard, safe and sound. :)

We didn't unpack a single thing this night. Well, that's not entirely true. I brought this little nugget back from Jamaica without Ryan knowing and showed it to him after we got home-

Day034: Jamaican Beer

You can't go to Jamaica without experiencing Red Stripe. With the exception of Bob Marley's (a combination of a strawberry and mango daiquiri, with rum floated on the top...it ends up being red, yellow, and green), this was pretty much all Ryan drank in Jamaica. So I brought him back a souvenir. :) It was in our room, so it was even one that he drank. Haha I'm so sentimental. But in all seriousness... we really didn't purchase any cool souvenirs. I never found anything worth bringing back (other than my giraffe). It all seemed too touristy or fake. Probably a product of being on a resort the entire time. The one thing I wish we had been able to do was actually go to real Jamaican stores... but in order to do so, I would have required multiple body guards. The real Jamaica is a tiny bit terrifying.

Day 34 was pretty much just a sad day, so I don't have much to say... I miss our little Jamaican Secrets Resort bubble.

Day033

Day 33 was Monday March 28th- our last full day in Jamaica. Sad.

Got up suuuuper early to have breakfast with Kim and Alan before doing by far the coolest thing we did on our trip: climb a waterfall.. no big deal. Took an almost 2 hours bus ride to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Bought watershoes in a sketchy little jewelry store/creepy gift shop/place where they rip you off. But oh well... it was well worth it.

Oh- best part of the trip into the little tourist trap strip of Ocho Rios: old Jamaican man, skin as black as night, hair/beard as white as a lily, missing about 75% of his teeth, with an old and horribly out of tune guitar (pretty sure it was missing a string or two)... playing his broken down version of 'One Love.' Seriously try to picture this. This old man bobbing up and down with each strum, singing to a group of caucasian tourists, practically following us onto our bus. As we boarded, he followed us to the door until his whole body filled the door- still bobbing and singing- until the bus driver abruptly ended his show by closing the bus door. The second the door closed, he immediately stopped playing and walked away from the bus. Funniest thing I saw the entire time I was in Jamaica (except maybe intoxicated Ryan).

The falls were amazing- Dunn's River Falls, it's called. Over 600 feet of climbable waterfall. Pure awesome. You climb the falls in a human chain with 20+ other tourists. Basically holding hands with a complete stranger, who you are putting trust in to not let you fall. Again, no big deal. The experience was indescribable though. Climbing across rocks and ledges through a rushing waterfall; playing in little pools of crystal clear river water. Seriously exhilarating.

And then we get to ride the bus for another 2 hours. Which made us late for our couples massage. It was scheduled for 4pm and we were supposed to be there an hour early for a hyrdrotherapy something or other... we were supposed to be getting hydrated or something. Obviously we didn't get to do this part. We finally got checked in at the spa at 3:50. Had our 50 minute couples massage- the first professional massaged I'd ever had. Not real sure it was worth the $200 we ended up having to pay.

Had one last Jamaican dinner with Kim, Alan, Courtney, Jay, Allan, and Penny. Went to an absolutely amazing steel drum show by a group called the Silver Birds Steel Orchestra- an insanely talented group of people. They played current pop music... but on steel drums. So cool. Oh, and they dance. While playing steel drums. Yeah. Kids these days.

Anyway... here's my picture... finally:

Day033: Usain Bolt

This was on our bus ride to Ocho Rios. I can't tell you where we are specifically because I don't have the faintest idea. Our bus pulled over on a glorified shoulder on a bridge that overlooked this little harbor-type thing. It was gorgeous, but pretty much all the views that involve water in Jamaica are. There were a couple 'vendors' if you will- Jamaican guys selling crap out of the back of their vans. No joke. And these Jamaican flags with Usain Bolt on them were all over the place. But I have to give our vendor some credit- he gave us a small piece of real sugar cane for free to try. Pretty cool. Definitely a different experience.

Ok- this post is incredibly long. My bad. I'm done with this one. On to the next...
