Today was my first 6:45am work day since Jamaica. Ugghhh... 5:30 came wayyyy too early. But I powered through somehow. Haha
Drove to work in an INSANE storm. Seriously expected to get picked up by a tornado and launched into next week. It was nuts. The craziest part was that when I left the house, it was just windy. No rain, no flying cows, just wind. I drove maybe 5-7 miles and the sky opened up. Thank goodness we bought new windshield wipers for my car and Ryan put them on for me the other day!
Work was fairly slow- physically anyway; in the sense that not many people physically came in to Banfield. The phones, however, did. not. stop. So annoying.
Got off work around 1 and got Chickfila for Ryan and me (I'm a bad influence... he gave up fastfood for Lent and I offered Chickfila. Poor thing didn't stand a chance). Brought it to him at work and hung out there for an hour or so. Came home and did my favorite/most dangerous recent addiction: looked online at houses/townhouses for sale. Some day... *sigh*
Anyway... met Ryan at the gym around 4:45. Did a somewhat abbreviated workout so I had enough time to come home and shower before a meeting tonight. When we pulled back up in front of the house, I saw these... and they always make me smile:
Day041: Spring Is Coming
Every year when these little guys start popping up all over it lets me know that there is hope and warmer weather is on its way. I especially needed to see them recently after coming back from paradise to constant nasty weather. So sad. But back to the daffodils... these are the little mini ones, which I possibly love even more than the fullsized ones. I mean, they're just so stinkin' cute. And they just scream 'spring.' I love it. (this is where my smartass husband would chime in with something about how creepy it would be if flowers actually screamed... but that's neither here nor there)
Went to our meeting at 7. Came home and had a late dinner... which was delicious. Now I'm writing my blog for probably no one to read and Ryan is playing Call of Duty (shocker, I know). But life goes on...
Little!!
